Colored Canyon Salama 5 in 1

OVERVIEW:

The Salama Colored Canyon is one of the amazing places on the Sinai Peninsula. This unique miracle created by nature itself is located 150 km from Sharm El Sheikh, towards the monastery of St. Catherine near the city of Dahab.

Salama Colored Canyon is a naturally formed most likely as a result of an earthquake, it is like a giant crack in the sandy rocks of a well-preserved ancient seabed. And For several centuries, water and wind have carved a depression in the red sandstone.

During the excursion to the Salama Colored Canyon and Dahab from Sharm El Sheikh, accompanied by a guide, you will have a walk sometimes between the narrowest crevices, sometimes under overhanging rocks. Therefore, to enjoy this trip to the Colored Canyon Salama, choose sports clothes and shoes that are comfortable for climbing narrow mountain paths and descending down a rocky slope.

This excursion to the Colored Canyon of Salama and Dahab from Sharm El Sheikh also includes swimming in Dahab, camel riding and a visit to Dahab.

TOUR’S PROGRAM:

A bus with our representative will pick you up from your hotel (from 7:30 to 8:30 am, depending on the location of your hotel in Sharm). An air-conditioned bus will take you to Dahab. The road to the Salama Canyon and Dahab will lie through the fascinating Sinai Mountains and will take about 1.5/2 hours.

On the way to the Colored Canyon Salama and Dahab, we will make a stop where you will have the opportunity to admire the unprecedented landscapes and take memorable photos for memory.

Then we arrive in Dahab, where you change the bus to jeep car and go through the sinai mountains for almost 20 minutes towards Colored Canyon Salama.

During the excursion by jeep to Canyon Salama, you will feel the breath of the hot desert. The serpentine mountain road will lead you to a narrow rift in the rock, where the famous Colored Canyon, along which you will walk, admiring the bizarre pattern of cobalt, basalt and copper inclusions in the lilac-red granite massif.

The shades of the rocks in the canyon are varied, mainly different shades of brown, sand and brown. There are places with very beautiful inclusions of rocks, picturesque cliffs, slopes and smooth hills formed by water and wind.

Next, you will have a camel ride (10/15 minutes) for a walk along the sea.
After that, you will have the opportunity to swim with masks and fins among the beautiful corals in the lagoon of three pools in the city of Dahab, there you will have an excellent opportunity and enough time to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world of the Red Sea and see a variety of fish and corals. (Please note that the rental of fins, masks, snorkels, wetsuits and life jackets is not included in the price of the excursion. Please also note that you must wear a life jacket to swim in this place).

After this, you will have lunch in the city of Dahab (on the beach or in a restaurant), drinks are not included in the price and are paid separately.

The very last thing on the excursion Colored Canyon Salama and Dahab will be a visit to the market in the city of Dahab.

Return transfer to the hotel at 17:00/18:00.

1. If you have your own snorkeling equipment, we advise you to take it with you. snorkeling equipment for an additional fee in Dahab.
2. In Dahab, according to safety regulations, the police doesn’t  allow swimming in the sea without life jackets.

We just finished our tour to Dahab and blue hole with our guide Ahmed. My friends and I really enjoyed our guide’s knowledge about all the sites we saw during our trip. He was the sweetest! We never felt rushed and since we took along time at certain spots she accommodated what we really want to see so we had plenty of time during our day. Thank you again! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!

Me and my friends picked a one day Cairo trip by bus from Sharm el shekh. The experience was very nice, from the beginning and up to the end. Our guide, Ahmed, was very knowledgeable and friendly with us – he made sure that all our questions received appropriate answers and his English skills are great. Trip to the pyramids is an experience that you should not miss!
